Professor Ashraf Ashour is Professor of Structural Engineering at the University of Bradford and a Fellow of IStructE. He previously served as Editor-in-Chief of ICE Structures and Buildings and currently holds editorial roles with Structures and Composite Structures. A Cambridge PhD graduate and internationally recognised researcher, his expertise encompasses structural engineering, reinforced concrete, sustainable construction materials, FRP composites, structural strengthening and resilience. He has authored more than 320 publications and received the 2020 Newton Prize.
